Tornado relief supply drive continues at Liberty, Madison County District 2 office

MADISON – Liberty Middle School is collecting tornado relief supplies for victims of the storms that swept through Alabama last week. Madison County Commissioner Steve Haraway is partnering in the relief drive with a dropoff location at the commission’s District 2 office in Madison off Browns Ferry Road.
Donations will be accepted through Friday, April 2.
Citizens can make their donations of clothing, water, food, toiletries, bottled drinks, gift cards, cleaning products etc. at Liberty Middle School, 281 Dock Murphy Drive in Madison; or at the District 2 County Commission Office at 100 Plaza Boulevard in Madison.
Liberty Principal Shannon Brown said the outreach is a good teachable lesson to students on servanthood and how all of us may at some point need help from others.
Brown knows first-hand the devastation of storms. He lost his daughter in the string of tornadoes in 2011 that swept through Tuscaloosa where she was attending school.
