Lady Patriots’ soccer team picks up pair of wins

The Bob Jones girls’ soccer team picked up a pair of wins this week with victories over Decatur and Buckhorn.

In the win over Decatur, the Red Raiders scored early in the first half, but Bob Jones (7-0-1, 3-0) tied it up at 1-1 with 10 minutes remaining in regulation.  After two overtime periods, Bob Jones won the game, 4-3, on penalty kicks.

The Patriots also defeated Buckhorn, 10-0, with four players finishing with two goals apiece.

Elle Bruno, Amanda Penney, Avery Newcome and Sammy Manzo each had two goals, while Jessica Hoover and Tori Davis each had one.
