‘Brews for Enable’ at Yellowhammer to benefit Enable Madison County

HUNTSVILLE – Enable Madison County, formerly known as CASA of Madison County, invites residents to attend “Brews for Enable,” a night of libations, giveaways and support for homebound neighbors.

Yellowhammer Brewing at 2600 Clinton Ave. W. in Huntsville will host the event on March 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Yellowhammer will donate $1 for each pint that guests buy between 5 to 9 p.m.

This year, Enable is celebrating 45 years of empowering elderly and homebound individuals to live independently, safely and with dignity. Funding raised from Brews for Enable will support initiatives such as building wheelchair ramps, cultivating produce in the Enable garden, providing transportation services and more.

Tickets are $40, which includes two tickets for Yellowhammer beverages, a spread of light appetizers and a chance at great prizes. Drawing for prizes will be completed at 7 p.m. For even more chances to win, guests can bring items for the Enable ‘client closet.’

The Enable client closet needs several items, including six-packs of paper towels, adult wipes, disposable bed pads, packs of new socks, new blankets and adult disposable underwear (medium, large, extra-large).

Enable’s projects include their vegetable garden, which is located west of Bob Wallace Avenue and Jordan Lane’s intersection in Huntsville; building wheelchair ramps; delivering holiday items; home winterizations; and other assistance.

Fundraiser proceeds will allow Enable to continue serving their ever-growing client list and help offset rising prices of lumber, supplies and food.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit bit.ly/48gChS9 or email Kiliaen Anderson at kiliaen@enablemadisoncounty.org.

A non-profit agency in Huntsville since 1979, Enable Madison County provides services to individuals who are at least 60 years old and to homebound individuals (wheelchair and bed-bound) of all ages.
