Over 130 local and regional artists, select local food vendors and musicians will be featured

HUNTSVILLE – Breathtaking views and outdoor fun will complement one-of-a-kind artwork at this year’s Monte Sano Art Festival, presented by Jerry Damson Honda-Acura, on Sept. 18 and 19, at Monte Sano State Park. A Huntsville tradition, the juried art festival will present over 130 local and regional artists and welcome select local food vendors and featured musicians.

Monte Sano Art Festival will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19.

Arts Huntsville does not charge admission to the festival; however, Monte Sano State Park will charge $10 per car for parking or $5 per walk-in festival attendee, cash only. All funds go towards supporting the state parks system. While the festival is an outdoor event, Arts Huntsville encourages masks and social distancing. Some artist tents will require masking while shopping.

“Monte Sano Art Festival is a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful, mountain setting while you support our local and regional professional artists. Their work spans across a variety of mediums with art that will appeal to first-time buyers and long-time collectors,” said Allison Dillon-Jauken, executive director of Arts Huntsville. “Many of the festival artists continue to have limited opportunities to display and sell their work. We encourage the community to continue to support these small business owners.”

Attendees will be able to dine al fresco on picnic tables that have been spread out throughout the food and beverage area in the middle of the event. Local food trucks will be present throughout the weekend, and local musicians will perform throughout the weekend. This year’s festival is presented by Jerry Damson Honda-Acura, with additional support from Torch Technologies, Discovery Donor Clinic, Pearl Behavioral Health Services, First Community Health Plan and COLSA.
