MADISON – Former Bob Jones standout swimmer Zach Harting had a great run at the Olympics in the 200-meter butterfly event, but narrowly missed getting into tonight’s finals. The top eight swimmers in the event advanced from the semi-finals on Monday to compete for gold. Harting came in fourth place in his individual heat with a time of 1:55.35, which placed him overall in ninth.

Many of Harting’s fans back home in Madison took to social media to express how very proud they are of him. “We are so Proud of you Zach! You will always be an Olympian and a swimming superhero to so many! Looking forward to when you come back to visit, so we can celebrate and Honor you!” stated a post from the Bob Jones swim and dive team.
