Madison at The Range becomes one of the area’s first senior living communities to offer vaccine

MADISON – Madison at The Range announced a partnership with Walgreens on Thursday to be one of the first senior living communities in the area to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to its residents.
The vaccination clinic is taking place between 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 inside the community at 10801 County Line Road in Madison.
“We are seeing history being made,” said Jennifer Finlay, Sales Director of Madison at The Range. “Getting back to some normalcy is our goal for our residents and team members.”
Last week, the ADPH announced the availability of vaccinations by appointment for people 75 and older and first responders. Those vaccinations begin Monday, although the state’s existing supply of the vaccine is inadequate for the eligible population.
According to ADPH, 9,539 long-term care residents and 4,431 employees have contracted the virus since the pandemic began. The greatest proportion of deaths from COVID-19, 78%, has been among those 65 years old or older.
Madison at The Range’s management company, Atlas Senior Living, say they have taken steps to guarantee a smooth vaccination process for their employees as well.
