Redstone plays Santa, surprises 310 members with cash

Redstone Federal Credit Union worked with Santa Claus to put a little something extra in some members’ accounts during December.

Members enrolled in Redstone Round Up were randomly selected to receive $100 automatically deposited into their Brighter Day Savings account. Ten lucky members were selected each day during December.  Redstone surprised 310 members and gave out a total of $31,000.

Ashley Bradford was one of those lucky recipients and she said the gift was much needed.

“That was very thoughtful of Redstone and it meant a lot me. I’m a single parent, unable to work and this was something that really touched me,’’ Bradford said.

“To some, $100 may not seem like a lot of money, but it goes a long way when you live on a fixed income,’’ she said.

Redstone Round Up is an automated savings program that rounds your debit card purchases up to the nearest dollar and deposits it into a Brighter Day Savings account.
