Harvest fire displaces family of four, family dog rescued
HARVEST – A family of four was displaced early Sunday morning after a fire damaged their home in the 200-block of Waterbrook Lane, Harvest.
Harvest firefighters said they were responding to a high priority medical call when an additional call came in for a working structure fire.
When they arrived units reported heavy fire showing through the roof of a two story residential structure. They said firefighters from Harvest and Huntsville first fought the fire from inside, but conditions worsened and crews were forced to batle the blaze from outside the house.
No other injuries occurred, and the homeowner’s dog was successfully rescued from the structure.
Members from Monrovia, Toney, Bobo, Huntsville Fire, HEMSI, and MCSO also responded to the fire.
