Sessions to speak Saturday morning in Madison
HUNTSVILLE — Former US Senator Jeff Sessions will be the featured speaker on Saturday morning at the Tennessee Valley Republican Club’s monthly meeting in Madison. The speaking engagement is part of a multi-day campaign sweep through the Tennessee Valley.
Sessions is running for the Senate seat he held for 20 years before being appointed to become the U.S. attorney general in February 2017. He resigned that position in November 2018, and a year later entered the crowded race for the Republican nomination to the U.S. Senate.
Other GOP Senate candidates on the ballot March 3 are former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville, Congressman Bradley Byrne, Stanley Adair, Arnold Mooney, Roy Moore and Ruth Page Nelson. The Tennessee Valley Republican Club’s monthly meeting is held at Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza, 107 Brookridge Drive in Madison, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Congressman Byrne will also be in the area Saturday morning. A media advisory said that he will be at the Huntsville Tea Party Forum at Life Church in Huntsville at 3:30 p.m.
