MADISON – Tonight is the night. The Madison Chamber of Commerce will salute excellence in business at their Best in Business Awards Ceremony at Insanity Complex.

Chamber director Pam Honeycutt said over 100 local businesses have been nominated to receive one or more prestigious awards at the event tonight.

“Our ambassadors have been hand delivering nomination certificates and you can feel the buzz growing in the community,” Honeycutt said. “An independent panel of judges have evaluated and scored each application by category.”

The 2019 nominees are grouped into the following categories: Start-Up Business of the Year, Excellence in Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness Business of the Year, Medical Practice of the Year, Culinary Business of the Year, Community Servant of the Year, Best Small Business of the Year, Best Non-Profit Business of the Year, and Best Business of the Year.

“We have added some additional categories to better reflect our membership,” Honeycutt said. They have added, Professional Service Business of the Year, Essential Service Business of the Year, and Arts, Entertainment & Hospitality Business of the Year.

“These round out our offerings and honor our service organizations and those dedicated to improving the quality of life for their clientele through arts, travel and/or leisure activities,” she said.

The Chamber will also recognize the Ambassador of the Year for their dedication and hard work on behalf of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.
