James Clemens’ head track coach Drew Bell was presented this trophy for being named the Girls Coach of the Year for Alabama by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association.

Awards For Coach Drew Bell Ring Loud

MADISON- James Clemens head track coach Drew Bell is now in his ninth season at the school and the 2019-2020 upcoming campaign will be hard to top the results the Jets posted a season ago. The girl’s program won the AHSAA State Track Championship in the spring season and with the title presented Bell with several awards.

The AHSAA named him the State Track Coach of the Year and was tabbed as the Girls Coach of the Year for Alabama by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association. With each award came a special trophy/plaque along with a state title ring and watch for the James Clemens first ever state title.

“Just to win the Class 7A state title was very difficult and my awards could not have happened if it weren’t for an entire group effort from both the athletes and my assistant coaches,” said Bell of his awards.

The 53-year old Bell remains the only track coach the school has had since its inception nine years ago.
