Coronavirus cases increase to 196 statewide, 21 in Madison County
The Alabama Department of Public Health reported this afternoon that Alabama’s coronavirus cases has jumped up to 196. In Madison County, the number increased from 17 earlier today to 21 at 4:30 p.m. Three of those are reportedly hospitalized. No deaths have been reported. There have been 1,832 patients tested across the state.
Madison Mayor Paul Finley sent a statement earlier saying a City of Madison employee has tested positive. The employee worked in the engineering department and is now recovering at home.
