The Station at Town Madison to house 274 apartments

MADISON – An April 12 groundbreaking christened The Station at Town Madison, 274 luxury apartments that will create a vibrant, mixed-use development in Town Madison’s east side.

Executives at the groundbreaking included Town Madison developer Louis Breland, Ingram Tynes with Tynes Development Corporation and representatives with a BL Harbert-related partnership. The Station at Town Madison will be located in the development’s mixed-use retail section with multiple options for dining, shopping and entertainment.

Residents at The Station at Town Madison can easily access apartments by elevator on four stories and enjoy resort-style amenities. Residents can choose among one-, two- and three-bedroom units and some carriage houses with garage units.

The project represents a $36-million investment to the City of Madison.

Founded in 1985 by Ingram Tynes, Tynes Development Corporation has 30-plus years of experience in building and managing luxury apartments. Recently, the firm completed The Retreat at Greystone in Birmingham and now is delivering The Station at Poplar Tent in Charlotte, N.C.

“We really like the vision for Town Madison and believe this is an incredible site to develop the mixed-use type of project our residents are looking for,” Tynes said. “. . . We are also excited to be a part of the City of Madison. Madison is truly a city on the rise with incredible schools, parks and recreation facilities with a quality of life that places it as one of the premier communities in the Southeast.”

Construction of The Station at Town Madison will take 18 months. Leasing will begin in summer 2019.

“We looked around the country to find the best multifamily partner for Town Madison,” Breland said. “Ingram Tynes and his team stood out among the best. With the changing retail world, luxury apartments not only provide additional living options for our project they are also an important component in creating the live, work, play formula that makes major mixed-use developments like Town Madison successful.”

In other construction, work has started on the first residential phase of Town Madison with 300 single-family residential units, along with Town Center retail and office opportunities that follow a New Urbanist design by DPZ Partners (Andres Duany).

Located across 530 acres, Town Madison will be home to a new, minor league baseball stadium and multi-use venue. Town Madison will encompass more than 1 million square feet of new retail, restaurants and entertainment options, along with 700,000 square feet of office space and 700 new hotel rooms.
