MADISON COUNTY – Scott Worsham with the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) of Madison County has been named an area director for the state board of directors.

On July 20, the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers, a statewide professional organization, elected its new board of directors for the 2015-2016 year. This group of leaders represents local emergency managers from throughout the state and in the state agency.

The managers association advocates a strong emergency preparedness program in each county and across Alabama. The group promotes professionalism among emergency management personnel by establishing performance standards and encouraging continuing education.
