MADISON – Football, basketball and golf are sports of interest to Ryan Moran.
In recreational leagues, he plays football with the Patriots and basketball in Monrovia. In football, Moran handles the positions of defensive end and tight end. He plays guard for his basketball team.
He singles out football overall other sports “because I like tackling and running the ball.”
Moran is a first-grader at Rainbow Elementary School. He is a member of the Rainbow Chess Team.
“My Mom is CEO of the house,” Ryan said. “My Dad works for Intuitive Surgical Inc. and trains on how to perform robotic surgery.” Ryan’s sister Emily is four years old and attends pre-kindergarten at Wall Highway Baptist Church.
Moving from Tampa, Fla., the Moran family relocated to Madison in March 2014 so Ryan’s father could accept a job opening.

Q: When you go out to eat, what restaurants do you like?
A: Marco’s Pizza and Sakura Japanese Steakhouse.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: Pizza and chicken sandwiches.
Q. What are your favorite sports teams?
A: Ryan’s favorite football teams are the University of South Florida Bulls and the Patriots, his football team in rec league.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: “Going to the playoffs this year,” Ryan said.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: “Play outside with my friends and family. I love to ride my scooter, my electric scooter, bike and ripstick (skateboard),” he said.
