North Alabama United Stars ace soccer tourney

MADISON – The North Alabama United Stars soccer team earned bragging rights for the second straight year at the Battle at the Jack Tournament in Decatur.

The Stars won the tournament for second consecutive year in play at the Jack Allen Complex on Sept. 21-22.

“They are repeat champions in their respective age category,” coach Jimmy ‘J.T.’ Taylor said. “These girls are all local and have done a great job representing our community.” Jennie Gibson also coaches the team.

In addition, the team is undefeated in state league play. For the year, the Stars have allowed only four goals in their nine games played this season.

Team members are Sophia Smith, 1; Taylor Troutt, 2; Danielle Brouillette, 3; Briyana Clark, 7; Rebecca Adkins, 8; Brooke Tate, 9; Jessica Dodson, 10; Maggie Lee, 12; Hayden Clift, 17; Nikki Clark, 20; Julianna Taylor, 22; Maddie Moore, 25; Dakota Daniel, 26; and Kennedy Jackson, 31.
