Parmelys arrested for marijuana ‘grow operation’

MADISON – Officers with Madison Police Department made two arrests for trafficking in cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 28.

William Jason Parmely, 34, and Jessica Lauren Parmely, 29, both of Madison, were booked into the Madison County Jail. Both of them have $10,500 bond.

Madison officers responded to a residence on Metaire Lane for a 911 call. During the investigation, officers discovered contraband and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Madison officers and members of the Street Crimes Unit discovered a marijuana ‘grow operation’ in a storage building at the residence. Police confiscated 50 marijuana plants, along with an amount that had been harvested and ready for distribution.

In addition to the marijuana, police confiscated equipment used to grow the marijuana and four firearms, which included a semi-automatic assault rifle.
