HUNTSVILLE – On Sept. 25, the Huntsville-Madison County Library Foundation will host its 38th annual Vive le Livre, the foundation’s gala to celebrate books, authors and all things library.

The event venue will be the Jackson Center, 6001 Moquin Drive in Huntsville. The gala will open at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by a seated dinner. The event will benefit the 10 branches of the library system.

The evening’s guest of honor and keynote speaker will be J.T. Ellison, a “New York Times” and “USA Today” bestselling author. Ellison has written 30-plus novels and is co-host of the Emmy-winning literary TV show, “A Word on Words.”

With millions of books in print, her titles have been optioned for television and published in 28 countries.

A native of Colorado, Ellison moved to McLean, Va. during high school. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and received a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University.

Ellison worked in the White House and the Department of Commerce. She moved to the private sector to work as a financial analyst and marketing director for defense and aerospace contractors.

After moving to Nashville, Tenn., Ellison became fascinated with forensics and crime and started her work as an author. During her literary career, Ellison has worked with the Metro Nashville Police Department and the FBI. (jtellison.com/bio)
