Educator Exchange sells consigned school supplies

MADISON – Every summer, Tracy Walker opens Educator Exchange as an annual consignment sale for the Huntsville and Madison area.

Educator Exchange’s offers teaching materials, educational toys, games, office supplies and school/office furniture. The merchandise can benefit classroom teachers, homeschool and preschool teachers, parents, office workers or anyone who needs school or office supplies.

Consignors can bring items for students in preschool to twelfth grade.

For the best bargains, shoppers should arrive early, Walker said. “Bring a clothes basket or mesh bag to carry your items in while shopping. On the last day of the sale, we have ‘1/2 Price Day,’ and many items will be half off,” she said.

Anyone who wants to shop before the public sale begins can consider becoming a volunteer or consignor.

Public sale dates will be held on July 18-19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; July 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and July 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For payment, Educator Exchange accepts cash, checks or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express).

Educator Exchange’s address is 605 Clinton Ave. E. in Huntsville (formerly East Clinton Elementary School). Shoppers can enter the exchange at the school’s back doors.

For more information, call 256-653-0229, email theeducatorexchange@gmail.com or visit theeducatorexchange.com or Facebook/The Educator Exchange.
