Madison Police officer charged with DUI following crash
On February 12th 2012 an off duty Madison Police officer crashed his personal vehicle on Old Rail Road Bed Road in Madison County. The vehicle flipped multiple times causing serious injury to Adams. Adams is currently in Huntsville Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene and preliminary indications was Adams was under the influence of alcohol and has been charged with DUI.
Chief Larry Muncey stated, “I thank God that Efrem is going to be okay, he is a great man and a great police officer” According to officials within the Madison Police Department a complete investigation will be done once Efrem is released from the hospital.
