Reflections contest pursues diverse angle for 2011
Numerous students in Madison’s secondary schools created contributions for Reflections.
National, state and local PTAs sponsor Reflections, a creative arts competition. For year’s theme, “Diversity,” the six competition categories are literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, choreography and film/video production.
The top five entries advance to citywide review, with winners going to the state level.
“I was very impressed with our students’ creativity. They’re truly a ‘diverse’ group,” Cynthia Larsen said. She is Reflections chairperson for Bob Jones High School.
