Madison woman arrested for burglarizing homes while families were at funerals

PRICEVILLE — Priceville police arrested a Madison woman yesterday for allegedly burglarizing homes while the homeowners were attending funerals of their loved ones.

Jennifer Lynn Azizian was arrested on four counts of burglary in the third degree, according to a Facebook post from the Priceville Police Department. The post went on to explain that Azizian was stopped by a Morgan County patrol sergeant after a possible burglary in Hartselle. Priceville police said they had video evidence of Azizian and her car but had not yet discovered who she was.

PPD obtained a search warrant for Azizian’s cell phone after she was stopped by the Morgan County patrol sergeant.

Police said that after the search, “it was clear that the subject had been researching obituaries for some time.”

“As people were laying their loved ones to rest, little did they know that someone was adding to their grief by breaking into their homes,” PPD said in the Facebook post.

Circuit Judge Jennifer Howell has set Azizian’s bond at $15,000 per charge. According to Priceville police, there will “likely be more charges filed by other agencies surrounding Morgan County.”

PPD ended the post by reminding readers that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court.
