Ben Luthy Acoustic Show set for ‘Let There Be Music, Madison’ concert

MADISON – Ben Luthy Acoustic Show is set to bring a wide range of enjoyable charts at the next “Let There Be Music, Madison” concert on Aug. 5.

The music will start at 6 p.m. on Old Black Bear’s patio in downtown Madison. The “Let There Be Music, Madison!” concert series will benefit Madison’s new Outdoor Amphitheater in Home Place Park, just south of downtown and adjacent to the Home Place neighborhood.

Ben Luthy is a singer, songwriter and musician from Madison. He sings 120 covers and a handful of originals, according to Facebook/Ben Luthy Acoustic Show.

Together since 2015, the Ben Luthy Acoustic Show is a group from Madison performs rock/acoustic music with unique tangy vibes and moving lyrics. The band plays a fun mix of music — Motown, blues, rock, pop, heavy acoustic metal and more. The audience always is welcome to make a song request when Luthy gives a concert.

Released in July, the band’s latest digital album, “Desire to Heal,” includes the tracks “Will It Burn,” “Wait A Minute,” “Repeat, Not Again” and “Respire.” Luthy said on his Facebook account that the album brings a message of healing. Fans can listen to their music, along with having the option to buy the album, at https://benluthy.rocks.

Luthy’s band invites listeners to follow them online at https://benluthy.rocks and receive access to exclusive messages from the artist and comments from fans. The site also will announce new releases from the band and their merchandise for sale.

The band plays plenty of local gigs. Campus 805, Green Bus Brewing, The Brass Tap, The Open Bottle and The Camp in Huntsville and Rocket Republic, Rocket City Craft Beer and Wish You Were Beer in Madison, along with Blue Pants Brewery when in operation, were some of their performances earlier this year.
