Megan Sharon Powers of Andalusia and Brandon Cole Smith of Madison were married May 31 at 5 p.m. in Andalusia.
James A. Moran officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John David Powers, Sr. of Andalusia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Smith of Madison.
The bride was given away by her father.
The bride wore a formal gown of ivory silk taffeta with a strapless neckline. The bodice was adorned with Alencon lace, sequins and seed pearls. The full cathedral length skirt was edged in lace and pearls. The veil was fingertip silk illusion and the flowers were blush pink roses.
Amy Powers Sellars of Pensacola, Fla., sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Attendents were: sister of the groom, Christian Smith Gunner of Madison; sister of the groom, Jennifer Rebeca Smith of Atlanta; Mary Ann Steppe of Birmingham; Jennifer McKenzie Owen of Gulf Shores; and Catherine Hammett Pierce of Andalusia.
The attendants' dresses were cornflower blue with an empire waist and gathered cap sleeve. Flowers were blush pink roses and gardenias.
The flower girl was the niece of the groom, Nolen Rose Gunner of Madison, who was escorted by the nephew of the bride, Reid Sellars of Pensacola, Fla.
Larry D. Smith, father of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were: James William Rennirt, III of Louisville, Ken.; Billy Allen II of Dothan; Nathan Albert Newman of Atlanta.; John David Powers, Jr. of Richardson, Texas, brother of the bride; and Kenneth Dwayne Porter of Madison.
The ring bearer was the nephew of the groom, Christopher Michael Gunner of Madison.
Ushers were Drew Cody Thomas and Jason Presley Jeffreys.
"Another Brother Band" provided music.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.
The four-layer wedding cake was round with Swiss dots and blush pink roses.
The groom's two-layer cake was chocolate basket weave with chocolate covered strawberries.
The wedding director was Judy Scott. Angela Lane provided catering, and Shirley Thames and Kelly Mauldin provided flowers.
Amy Myrick Hollinghead kept the bride's book.
A rehearsal party, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at the Andalusia Country Club on May 30.
A luncheon for the bride, hosted by Carolyn Wilson, Suzanne Boyington, Cathy Powell and Paula Harr, was held in the Andalusia Chamber of Commerce Garden Room on May 31.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and will reside in Huntsville.
