MADISON – Much to delight of their audiences, Madison City Community Orchestra (MCCO) has a full schedule of performances during the 2015 Christmas season.

On Dec 3, the orchestra will play at Santa’s Village at 6 p.m. at 109 Gates Ave. in downtown Huntsville.

Back in Madison on Dec. 4, the community orchestra will play seasonal standards for the children’s Lantern Parade, sponsored by Madison Arts Council. At 5:30 p.m., children who are 12 years old and younger will parade down Main Street with their lanterns to the Christmas trees on Front Street.

Then, the orchestra will play for the official lighting of Christmas trees that groups and businesses have decorated on Front Street for the Madison Mayor’s Tree Decorating Contest.

On Dec. 5, the community orchestra and Chancel Bells of Madison United Methodist Church will entertain during the Madison Christmas Magic Homes Tour 2015. The orchestra and handbells will have a rotating schedule that morning from 9 a.m. to noon at Madison UMC, 127 Church St.

The Madison City Community Orchestra Christmas Concert will be presented on Dec 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Madison UMC. “Celebrate the season,” orchestra director Sandy Weisner said. “The Madison Clarinet Choir will join us at the concert.”

Weisner and the orchestra members encourage residents to become a sponsor of MCCO and “help further our mission to share the arts though music in Madison City and throughout the Tennessee Valley,” she said.

Basic sponsorship rates are Bass Clef, $1 – $500; Tenor Clef, $501 – $1,000; Alto Clef, $1,001 – $2,500; and Treble Clef, $2,501 – $5,000.

Elite sponsorship rates are piano, $5,000 – $10,000; mezzo, $10,001 – $15,000; forte, $15,001 – $20,000; and fortissimo, $20,001 and up.
