Madison man arrested for first-degree sexual abuse and aggravated child abuse

According to a release by the Madison Police Department, the Alabama Department of Human Resources Child Protective Services and Madison Police arrested 43-year-old Anthony Charles Williams of Madison yesterday after an investigation regarding allegations of sexual abuse of a child.
Williams, according to Madison County Jail records, was booked into the jail at 6:23 p.m. Feb. 24 on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, and aggravated child abuse, a Class B felony.
Williams has not been released out of bonds totaling $45,000. Class C felonies carry prison terms of up to 10 years and Class B felonies carry sentences of up to 20 years.
Due to the charges’ involving a juvenile, no other information is being released.
