Limestone sheriff: Routine traffic stop leads to fentanyl bust

Robinson

A Harvest man was arrested Sunday after he was pulled over by a Limestone County sheriff’s deputy for expired tags and found with fentanyl and marijuana, according to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.

Jason Rick Robinson, 53, is charged with trafficking fentanyl, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He remained in Limestone County Jail on Tuesday awaiting a judge to set bond.

Robinson was pulled over at around 2 a.m. on Interstate 65, near Exit 365, the Sheriff’s Office said.

“If you have any information about fentanyl dealers operating in our area, we urge you to come forward,” Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin said. “Your tip could be the key to stopping the spread of this deadly drug and saving lives in our community.”
