Huntsville Hospital, United Healthcare reach agreement
HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Hospital Health System and United Healthcare have reached an agreement a day before the current agreement was set to expire on Nov. 15.
Hospital officials said the termination, which was announced in October, came after months of disappointing negotiations between the two groups and included every hospital within the HH system.
Officials said the new agreement “maintains the in-network status for United subscribers who are patients in HH Health System hospitals.”
“This new agreement enables patients to continue to have access to the HH Health care teams that they know and trust. Our patients will always be our first priority,” Chief Executive Office of the Huntsville Hospital Health System, Jeff Samz, said.
The new agreement includes Madison Hospital.
