MADISON COUNTY – What is the fall season without a fun-filled tribute festival? The Clift Farm Fall Festival will combine the season’s best diversions.

The Clift Farm Fall Festival on Oct. 14 will open at 11 a.m. and continue to 6 p.m. for seven hours for an opportunity for a fun Saturday. Organizers will set up the festival events in the greenspace on Clift Home Place Drive. No admission will be charged.

“We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming festival! Gather your friends, family and fellow community members for a day of festivity,” a Clift Farm spokesperson said.

Plenty of attention-grabbing, amusing activities will entertain the children. “From face painting to a petting zoo, we’ve got plenty of fun lined up for our little ones,” a spokesperson said.

A haunted train ride will thrill its passengers. A bounce house will give the kids some exercise.

A costume contest will award individuals with the best masquerade ideas. In the pumpkin painting contest, create a friendly, ‘Casper-esque’ design or sharpen the fangs of an evil jack-o-lantern.

Hundreds of free pumpkins will go to festival visitors.

Food vendors will offer tasty options with several choices of carnival snacks. The adults can imbibe with a craft beer or survey a food truck’s menu. Festivalgoers can savor the flavors of fall with a variety of food booths that cater to every palate.

Local crafts designers will display their merchandise. Their booths will be full of interesting options . . . and maybe an answer for a Christmas present or two. Musicians will add an enjoyable addition to the event.

Visitors can engage in classic games. A cornhole stand will be set up for anyone who wants a rousing round of that yard game.

“Don’t miss out on what promises to be a fantastic community gathering. Let’s make this great!” the spokesperson said.

Since 1850, four generations of the Clift family have maintained the fields of crops, pastures and woods that now are ‘Clift Farm.’ Quality retailers and service providers now are at home on the property. The Clift Farm mixed-use development offers variety and convenience from its full slate – from casual to upscale dining, personal appearance salons, groceries and luxury homes.
