Madison CEO Program to host 2023 Student Trade Show this Saturday

By Stephenie Walker

MADISON – Area high school students invite the public to Madison CEO’s Annual Student Business Trade Show on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. – noon to meet the next generation of entrepreneurs and support local student businesses. The Madison Chamber of Commerce will kick off the event with a ribbon-cutting for each of the 16 student-owned businesses.

The Madison CEO program is much more than a textbook course. Students are immersed in real-life learning experiences with the opportunity to take risks, manage the results, and learn from the outcomes. During this class, students start a class business in addition to their own individual businesses. This Trade Show will be the culmination of their experience and showcase their student-run business.

The Madison CEO Program provides entrepreneurship education to prepare people, especially youth, to be responsible, enterprising individuals who become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial thinkers and contribute to economic development and sustainable communities. Created by Midland Institute of Entrepreneurship and adopted by Madison City Schools, this program is comprised of students from three Madison City high schools: Bob Jones, James Clemens, and St. John Paul II Catholic High.

Date: Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: Signalink, Inc., 1208 Slaughter Road, Madison AL 35758
