UAH combines for eight NCAA provisional marks at Georgia Tech Invitational
ATLANTA – The University of Alabama in Huntsville men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up weekend competition on Saturday as the squad went to both the Georgia Tech Invitational and the Sewanee Mountain Larel Invitaitonal.
Women’s Notables
–Krystalynn Oatman bested the NCAA provisional time in 100 meters with an 11th-place clocking of 11.67.
–Ijah Drake placed third overall in the 200-meter dash at a time of 24.24 to top the NCAA provisional standard.
-UAH’s 4×100 meters relay team of Oatman, Drake, Zakiria Holifield and Chandler Robinson broke the program record and also topped the NCAA provisional time in the event with a second-place clocking of 45.55.
–Katie Long notched fifth overall in the javelin, eclipsing the NCAA provisional mark with a throw of 43.28 meters.
Men’s Notables
–Michael Gizzi topped the NCAA provisional standard in a pair of sprinting events, as he earned second in 200 meters at 21.19 and fifth in 100 meters at 10.42.
–Sam Wilhelm generated an NCAA provisional performance in 5000 meters with a third-place time of 14:17.05.
–Wilson McClain notched fourth overall at a time of 14.27, while eclipsing the NCAA provisional time.
