Huntsville Museum of Art offers free museum admission on Sunday, Feb. 19

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Museum of Art is pleased to announce that it will be offering free admission to all visitors on Sunday, Feb. 19. In celebration of Black History Month and an effort to encourage the community to explore the museum’s diverse collections and exhibitions, the museum is opening its doors to all without charge.

“We believe that art is for everyone and that the museum should be accessible to all,” said Director of the Huntsville Museum of Art, Christopher Madkour. “Hosting a Community Free Day on Sunday is just one way that we can give back to the community and provide a fun, educational experience for families and art lovers.”

The museum’s current exhibitions include “Looking at the Collection, African American Art and Artists,” “Encounters: John Cleaveland,” and the “2023 Gala Art Exhibition.” Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s galleries and get up-close and personal with some of the most interesting and thought-provoking works of art from the museum’s permanent collection.

The Huntsville Museum of Art is located at 300 Church Street and is open from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. For more information about the museum and its exhibitions, please visit the museum’s website at hsvmuseum.org
