HUNTSVILLE Inspiration is just around the corner at Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes Western Edition on Saturday, August 20. The August Art Tour, sponsored by ValleyMLS.com, is Arts Huntsville’s first bi-annual art adventure and the first Art Tour to expand to feature homes in west Huntsville, Madison and Mooresville. Once again, five area homeowners and art enthusiasts will open their homes to the public to inspire visitors to start or grow their own collection of art.

The Art Tour of Homes Western Edition will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tickets are $20, available in advance online and the day of, at each home, with exact cash or through TicketSpice.

The homes featured this year include: the Madison home of Joe and Sallie Estes; the Providence home of Chandler and Betty Hall; the Magnolia Village home of Jim and Ted Spratt-Hall; the Mooresville home of Travis and Sue Hensley; and the Ashley Estates home of Tommy and Debbie Overcash.

Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes showcases how art is part of living spaces, giving tour-goers greater understanding of how anyone – on any budget – can use art to enhance their environment. This event serves as an opportunity to learn about the region’s growing and thriving arts community. Tour attendees will be provided with a guide to local galleries and visual art venues.

Exclusive Preview Party

The Art Tour Preview Party, presented by Bridgeworth Wealth Management, is an exclusive fundraising event featuring a sixth home not on the public tour. The Preview Party will be hosted on Thursday, Aug. 18, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Madison home of Marie and Joe Newberry. This special social event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks as attendees mingle with fellow art enthusiasts and explore the Newberry’s eclectic collection of local and regional art.

Party tickets are $100, must be purchased in advance only by Friday, Aug. 12, and include a ticket to the public art tour on Saturday, Aug. 20. This event serves as a fundraiser to support Arts Huntsville’s ongoing arts and cultural programs throughout the year, including year-round promotions of area arts events and Arts Huntsville’s community events like Panoply Arts Festival and Monte Sano Art Festival.
