Heritage Elementary’s running club took top honors in team participation in the annual Free2Teach Paper Chase Run this past weekend.
The school was awarded $1,500 for having the most participants.The prize money will be used for school technology,
The Paper Chase is a key fundraiser for Free2Teach, which provides free resources to teachers in Madison County’s three public school systems,
The Heritage Running Club of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders started in 2017 and is under the direction of teachers Miranda Biggers and Heather Kell. The club promotes the healthy activity of running and also helps prepare students who may want to run track in secondary school. Way to go Rams!
