Obituary: Ray Martin Fogg

Ray Martin Fogg

Ray Martin Fogg
September 28, 1962 – December 2, 2021

Ray Martin Fogg passed away on December 2, 2021. He is the loving husband of Leah Fogg with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage. Ray is survived by his wife Leah, his son Ben, his daughter Katie and her husband Nich, his daughter Anna, his brother Joe and his wife Connie, his sisters Judy and Debbie, his brother Steven, his sister Stacey and her husband Kerry, his brother Shay and his wife Chrissy, and several nieces and nephews.
He was born in Huntsville, Alabama on September 28, 1962 to Jerome and Betty Fogg. Ray spent his early years as a competitive swimmer and continued his swimming career as a coach, alongside his wife, for over 30 years.
Shortly after their marriage, Ray and Leah decided to move to the island of Kwajalein for two years to pursue his career in missile defense. 15 years later the couple returned to the states with three children and lasting friendships that felt more like family.
Recently, the couple fulfilled their dream of owning property where they could raise chickens and have as many dogs as their house would hold. Ray fully embraced the farmer lifestyle and traded in his swim trunks for overalls and a straw cowboy hat. He could often be found riding around the property on his tractor or in his workspace piddling.
A visitation will be held on December 7, 2021 at 2 PM followed by a funeral service at 3 PM at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tunnel of Flowers Foundation. (https://t2t.org/)
