Sparkman Comes Up Short At Volleyball State Tournament- Senators Fall In Semi-Finals

BIRMINGHAM- The sweet experience of making the State Volleyball Tournament has ended for the Sparkman Senators. Making their first-ever appearance in the AHSAA State Tournament, the Lady Senators fell to No. 1 ranked Spain Park 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Class 7A Tournament at Birmingham’s CrossPlex Arena.

Spain Park (46-4) swept Sparkman by scores of 25-15, 25-10 and 25-19.

Sixth-ranked Sparkman defeated No. 8 Auburn (39-17) in the quarterfinals 3-1 by beating the Auburn squad in game scores of 14-25, 25-20, 25-14 and 25-20.

Sparkman ends its superb 2021 season at 51-13. More details on the trek to State coming soon.
