Kids to Love to benefit from campaign by Jack’s Family Restaurants

MADISON – Jack’s Family Restaurants has launched a charitable campaign to benefit the Kids to Love Foundation, based in Madison.

The Kids to Love Foundation has the mission to find ‘forever families’ for children who are waiting for adoption. The dates for the fundraising campaign by Jack’s Kids to Love Foundation are Sept. 8-29 at every Jack’s location.

Jack’s corporate giving arm, Jack’s Family Fund, is supporting this important cause in its fourth consecutive year. With family and community value at its core, Jack’s is dedicated to helping Kids to Love make life brighter for thousands of Alabama children in foster care, according to a company release.

For its children in foster care, Kids to Love is dedicated to help find lifelong homes and to recruit adoptive parents.

Lee Marshall, Kids to Love Foundation CEO, said Jack’s has been a cherished community partner with Kids to Love for many years. “We’re grateful for their continued partnership in supporting the youth we serve,” Marshall said. “For the past several years, Jack’s Family Restaurants has supported Kids to Love . . . to make corporate giving a permanent part of their business.”

Since 2017, the Jack’s Family Fund has donated more than $1,194,318 and assisted with 600 grants in various Southern communities. In 2020, Jack’s Kids to Love Campaign raised $125,000.

Contributors can donate online and via text message or donate in-person at a neighborhood Jack’s restaurant. Jack’s employees also are hosting their own fundraising events at various locations in creative efforts to increase contributions; employees are staging community car shows, yard sales and other events.

“We are proud to continue to support such an impactful and admirable nonprofit organization across all Jack’s locations,” Jack’s CEO Todd Bartmess said. “Our team is honored to come together with our community to raise awareness and help fund efforts that support children and families in need.”

Bartmess hopes for 2021 to result as their most successful year of donations yet, especially considering the growing number of restaurant locations.

Founded in 1960 in Homewood, Jack’s Family Restaurants started as Jack’s Hamburgers, a walk-up stand that served hamburgers, fries, sodas and shakes. The business has grown to about 200 locations in four Southern states.
