Trash Pandas, Smokies suspended on Sunday, game to be completed on Aug. 31

MADISON – Sunday night’s game between the Rocket City Trash Pandas and Tennessee Smokies was suspended in the bottom of the second inning due to rain.

Sunday’s suspended game will be completed as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Tuesday, August 31. Game time will be announced at a later date. The suspended game will resume in the bottom of the second inning with the Trash Pandas trailing 1-0 and be completed to nine innings. A seven-inning contest will follow. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. If you are holding tickets for the game on August 31, they are valid for both games of the doubleheader.

Tickets from Sunday’s game can be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any future 2021 Rocket City Trash Pandas home game, subject to availability. Tickets must be exchanged in person at the Trash Pandas’ ticket office located at Toyota Field.

The Trash Pandas (34-35) continue their homestand with a six-game series against the Birmingham Barons (39-32) beginning on Tuesday night. First pitch at Toyota Field is set for 6:35 p.m. Josh Caray will be on the call for 103.9 FM THE UMP and 730 AM SportsRadio. The game will also be televised locally on WAAY-31.6, This TV.
