Community tips lead police to Harvest man accused of sexual abuse of a child

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Police Department arrested a Harvest man for sexual abuse of a child under the age 12 after numerous tips from the community.

Authorities said Jadarian Williams, 24, is accused sexually abusing the child and posting the abuse on social media.

HPD Captain Michael Johnson said several citizens contacted the department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) regarding the concerning social media post. No further information can be released about the post to protect the victim’s identity.

The Huntsville Police SVU Investigators are based at the National Children’s Advocacy Center, where they received assistance from Homeland Security on this case. Investigators traveled to the central part of the state during the investigation to collect evidence.

Captaon Johnson said additional charges in this case are expected. At this time, it is believed there are no other victims.
