Madison City Schools will delay start time by two hours on Thursday

MADISON – Madison City Schools have announced they will delay the school start Thursday, Oct. 29, by two hours.

School officials say the delay is due to the threat of severe weather from storms associated with Hurricane Zeta.

The delay puts the elementary school start at 9:40 a.m. Middle schools and high schools will start at 10:15 a.m. Bus routes will be adjusted accordingly.

For virtual parents participating in meal pickup, that is cancelled for Thursday. Meal pickups will be at the regular times on Friday (8:45-9:45 a.m.).

The Madison County School System will also operate on a 2-hour delay for Thursday.
