Fighting off the 2020 cancellation due to COVID-19, the Huntsville Championship golf tournament has set new dates for 2021 and the inaugural Korn Ferry Tour in Huntsville.

Inaugural Huntsville Championship Golf Tournament Sets 2021 Dates

HUNTSVILLE- The Huntsville Championship has set new dates after the professional golf tournament was cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The inaugural event of the Korn Ferry Tour will now be held April 26-May 2, 2021 at The Ledges, Huntsville’s premier golf course. Huntsville is one of only 28 international cities to offer the Korn Ferry Tour and the professional level of play as the tour players attempt to make their way to the prestigious PGA Tour. Notable PGA Tour players who got their start on the Korn Ferry Tour include major champions Justin Thomas, Jason Day, Bubba Watson and Zach Johnson.

“We are thrilled to have a new date back on the calendar for the Huntsville Championship,” said Penn Garvich, tournament director. “We look forward to welcoming the Korn Ferry Tour to Huntsville and for our community to finally experience the tournament.”

The Huntsville Championship has signed five-year deal with Huntsville and The Ledges. The award-designed course opened in 2000 with designer Mike Hurdzan earning “Designer of the Year” award by Golf Magazine in 2003.

Additional details surrounding sponsorship possibilities, tournament tickets, etc. will be available at a later date via Knight Eady, which is an Alabama-based sports marketing and event management firm and operates the Huntsville Championship.
