Co-Ed Softball League Registration Now Open- Season Begins June 29

MADISON- The coed team The Knightmares won both the 2019 regular season and post-tournament championships of the 2019 Coed Softball League and possibly could return this year to defend their title as the 2020 season of the Coed Softball League is currently accepting registration.

The new third season will run from June 29-August 20 with all games played on Mondays and Thursdays with game times set for 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Field 5 of the Upper Quad at Palmer Park. The adult league is for anyone age 18 and older with a registration fee of $45 per person.

Hosted by the City of Madison Parks and Recreation Dept., registration is now open and will end on June 24. Participants can register as a free agent or via a team registration. Each team will consist of 10-20 players with one rule requirement that at least two females must be in the game at all times.

Seasons one and two had four teams registered with a total of about 50 players overall. This year, registration is expected to increase with as many as six teams expected to be involved in the league that will feature eight regular season games and a single elimination post-season tournament to conclude season play.

The Coed Softball League is a great way any adult to have fun, remain in top physical condition and enjoy others in the Madison community.

For league information, questions and registration, contact Dylan Reutter of the Parks and Recreation Dept. ay 256-772-2568 or via e-mail at Dylan.reutter@madisonal.gov.
