MADISON COUNTYSTAC agents and the Huntsville Police Anti-Crime Team made two arrests Friday in connection to auto theft and drug trafficking in northern Madison County. Police officials said cash and weapons were also seized in the overnight 24-hr investigation.

Cousins, Damion Doral Drake, 31, and Jamee Shaquen Drake, 27, were arrested in the joint operation, which involved law enforcement agents from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Huntsville PD and Madison PD.

According to HPD Lt. Michael Johnson, the investigation began earlier in the week with a tip about illegal narcotics sales occurring at a residence in north Madison County.

“This led to several search warrants,” he said. “When the first search warrant was being executed in northern Madison County, a trafficking amount of heroin and a stolen Jaguar F-Pace sports car was located.”

Damion Drake was arrested for drug trafficking, receiving stolen property 1st, possession of marijuana 1st and possession of a controlled substance. Several weapons and just under 50k in cash were also seized.

Lt. Johnson said while agents were at the location they received unrelated complaints about narcotics sales at a “music-studio” on Oster Drive in Huntsville.

“During that investigation agents arrived to find Jamee Drake backing out of the property in a stolen 2017 Maserati Lavante,” Lt. Johnson said. “As he did, he threw drugs out of the car.”

A search at that location resulted in finding a stolen 2009 Mercedes R350 and a 2017 Corvette.

Jamee Drake was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property.
