Senior Spotlight — Atyah Lajoy Jones

MADISON – Atyah Lajoy Jones is a senior at Bob Jones High School.

“My favorite subjects in school are Health Science, Human Body Systems and Structures, and Foundations of Health,” Jones said. “This is because I want to pursue a career in healthcare.”

“These classes really set me up for success when going to college when it comes to knowing healthcare-related material,” Jones said.

Jones has participated with the basketball and track teams, and she was a member of the Bob Jones Dance Team, Technical Theatre staff and Family Career Community Leaders of America or FCCLA. She earned first place in gymnastics for the state of Alabama.

“My GPA is 3.5. I have gotten five scholarships for the University of North Alabama,” Jones said.

Her parents are Marquitus Jones and Coronda Orr. Atyah’s younger siblings are Aubrey Jones and Aaden Jones.

Atyah plans to major in nursing at the University of North Alabama.
