Madison County Schools will postpone graduation services to later this summer

MADISON COUNTY – In a letter to parents today, Madison County Schools superintendent Allen Perkins said graduation services for high school seniors will be postponed to later this summer. He also said seniors on track to graduate and in good standing as of the third nine-week reporting period will be considered ‘as meeting the graduation requirements’ for the State of Alabama.

Seniors who are not on track will be given the opportunity for credit recovery immediately, rather than waiting until summer. Chromebooks and wifi-hotspots will be provided if needed for seniors who need to complete credit recovery.

Perkins added that more information will be available once the dates have been confirmed.

Madison City Schools have not announced what their plans will be for graduations.
