Madison Academy Has A Trio Of Football Signings
Evan Craighead is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker who has signed with the Naval Academy. He had 105 tackles, including nine for losses and three sacks, plus two interceptions for the Mustangs. He received a full scholarship to attend Navy and chose the Midshipmen over Yale, Air Force, Troy and Florida State. Photo- Contributed
Slate Rucker played both wide receiver and defensive back for the Mustangs, but was used mostly as part of the receiving corps. The 6-1, 160-pound receiver caught 65 passes for 1,245 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2019. He signed with the UNA Lions with an athletic-academic scholarship and chose the Lions over Jacksonville State and Birmingham Southern. As a defensive back for Madison Academy, Jacobi McBride (6-1, 175) had 100 tackles with two interceptions in 2019. He signed with Alabama as a preferred walk-on with an athletic and academic scholarship.
