Huntsville – Madison County EMA to test warning sirens today

The Huntsville – Madison County EMA will be conducting a test of the Outdoor Warning Siren system today at 12:00 noon. This will only be a regular monthly test and no emergency exists. The siren system is designed for outdoor warning.

Officials with the Huntsville-Madison County EMA recommend a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for use inside your home as well as cellular apps to alert you. Having more than one method increases the chances that you will receive a weather warning in time to act.

Possible severe storms are in the forecast this Saturday and now is a good time to make or review your plans on where you would take shelter if a warning were to be issued.
