Annual Madison Community Thanksgiving Dinner celebrating 10 years, to be held Nov. 27 at Bob Jones
MADISON – A tradition in Madison will once again be held Wednesday, Nov. 27. Inside-Out Ministries will host the 10th annual Madison Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
Inside-Out will host the seventh annual Madison Community Thanksgiving Dinner in the cafeteria at Bob Jones High School. The meal is free.
“This dinner is provided to offer a family meal for anyone in our community who is without family for Thanksgiving or maybe isn’t able to prepare a meal due to lack of resources,” Inside-Out Director of Operations Deborah Ward said. “Come celebrate Thanksgiving with us,.”
Guests can choose among four different seatings. The first dinner hour will start at 4 p.m. Then, other seatings will be offered at 5, 6 and 7 p.m.
To make meal reservations, individuals can call 256-325-5193 and leave a message. Be prepared to state the number of adults and number of children who will attend the meal and the hour at which you want to eat.
Volunteers are also needed. “We are thankful for all the kindness shown to serve others. Some new to the area, some struggling financially, some with no family to share the holidays. Join us in offering friendships, hope and a celebration of God’s goodness to us all,” Ward said.

Ward said she is very thankful to Little Libby’s, Ted’s BBQ and Smokey’s for their help with this year’s dinner, and to all the volunteers who have been working for weeks to prepare.
“Thank you and we look forward to serving alongside you, sharing thanksgiving for all God has and will do,” she said. “Pray for all who will attend – may Jesus be the shining light throughout.”
Inside-Out, a 501(c) 3 all-volunteer charity, unites churches, individuals and the community. Founders Larry and Deborah Ward accept applications from residents who have needs for clothing, utility payments, appliances, furniture and housing.
“We were drawn to share resources God has put at our disposal and to seek out others who had a heart for helping,” she said.
