Police investigating shooting near Shelton Drive

MADISON – Madison Police investigated an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday night. According to police, the shooting happened in front of an apartment on Westcott Drive. That is off Shelton Road, just south of the train tracks.

Madison Police spokesman Major John Stringer said shots were fired into unoccupied cars and no one was hurt. There were also reports an apartment had been hit too. The shooting happened around 7 p.m.

No suspects had been arrested. Check www.themadisonrecord.com for updates to this story.

This makes the third consecutive Sunday that a shooting has occurred in Madison.
