Mooney to speak to Republican Women of Madison

MADISON – A conservative legislator who believes America’s major threat to God-given rights originates inside our country will speak to Republican Women of Madison on Oct. 16.

Currently, Rep. Arnold Mooney represents District 43 in the Alabama State House. He is a candidate for U.S. Senate and intends to replace Sen. Doug Jones. Mooney has worked in the field of commercial real estate for 40-plus years.

A social time will open the meeting at 11 a.m. on Oct. 16 at Best Western Plus, 9035 Madison Blvd. in Madison. The hour-long lunch meeting starts at 11:30 a.m.

Cost is $15 for an all-inclusive meal. Guests can pay at the event by cash or a check payable to the Port of Madison.

“Arnold Mooney’s record makes him one of the most conservative candidates in the race, earning him the support of others, such as U.S. Congressman Mo Brooks and radio/ television host and author Mark Levin,” club president Dee L Voelkel said.

“Electing President Donald Trump for a second term and removing Doug Jones from the Senate are our goals for 2020,” Voelkel said. “We must select the nominee who will be our new U.S. Senator.”

Meetings for Republican Women of Madison are open to everyone. Individuals are welcome to attend lunches and listen to the featured speakers.

Both the National Federation of Republican Women and the Alabama Federation of Republican Women govern the Republican Women of Madison organization. The organization represents conservative, female Republicans in and around the City of Madison.

“Our club possesses a unique mixture of older and younger members, who together provide a winning combination of experience and innovation,” Voelkel said. “Our mission is to see women from all age groups and lifestyles serve as key players at the political table on local, state and national issues.”

“By joining our club, you will become part of a dynamic team of women who believe ‘Women in Numbers’ can make a difference in the many challenges facing our nation,” Voelkel said.
